DesktopDimes.com has faded into black. After careful consideration, I’ve decided to shut down the site.

Two issues lead me to this decision. The first reason is that I really can’t find the time to give attention to the site. While the site

mainly ran itself, programming and monitoring it does take some effort. I have other interests (and websites) that yield a greater

return and I plan on focusing on those things. The second reason, and the more important reason, is that new 2257 laws have been

implemented and compliance with these new laws is a great burden. DesktopDimes.com would be deemed as a secondary

producer to the photos on the site and securing all the documents from the various photographers and models would be very

difficult, if not impossible. I’d guess that most photographers and models don’t even know about these laws and the necessary

paperwork that must be kept to comply with this law. While I enjoyed giving talent a place to display and advertise their skills, it’s not

something that I’m ready to go to prison over. The way that the law is written is, in my opinion, very vague and it would be easy for

the authorities to snatch up any publisher or producer for not complying.

I want to thank all of the models and photographers who have contributed to the site over the years. I have met and made some

good friends due to this site. I know of at least 4 models who have gone on to do big things who used DesktopDimes.com as a

springboard to success. I remember them emailing me about how to get the ball rolling towards a successful modeling career. I’m

happy about what I was able to accomplish during the lifetime of this site.

What lies ahead for me? I’m going to continue with my photography. I will continue to publish DimeParadise.com (see links above

and below). I’m considering creating possibly two other model-related websites. If I do so, you’ll see the links on this page. But most

of all, I plan on continuing to enjoy life. I hope that you all do the same. Thanks to everyone. Goodbye.
